Siber Siaga: Capture the Flag (Code Combat) is a national cybersecurity competition taking place from 20 September to 2 October 2025, blending online and on-site challenges at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur. Organized by Bahagian Siber dan Elektromagnetik Pertahanan (BSEP) and Asia Pacific University (APU), and sponsored by Mindmatics Sdn Bhd, the event is held in conjunction with CyberDSA 2025 and Siber Siaga 2025.
The competition unfolds in three thrilling stages. It kicks off with an online preliminary round on 20 September, where teams race against the clock to solve Jeopardy-style challenges covering fields like AI, web exploitation, reverse engineering, and cryptography. The top 20 teams will then face off at MITEC on 30th September in the Finale, diving into a high-stakes cyber investigation to uncover the identity of a threat actor through a storyline-driven challenge. The best five teams move on to the Grand Finale on 1st October — a fast-paced, real-time Attack and Defence showdown, where teams must secure their systems while launching strategic attacks on others. The action concludes with a Prize Ceremony on 2nd October, celebrating Malaysia’s top emerging cyber talents.
